Sippy 101

I thought I would just try giving Alex a sippy after dinner tonight. I seem to remember Charlie starting one around this age. He seemed to like it and is slowly getting the hang of it. Still primarily bottles for now, but soon enough...

Visit from family

Charlie and Alex's Grandma Mary, Grandpa Steve, Auntie Sera, Uncle Jordan and cousin Ethan came to visit yesterday. We had a great day and the weather cooperated so we could all get outside for a bit. It was a great visit. Thanks again to them for coming!

Spring is on its way!

You'd never know it by looking out the window today (rain for the past two days and now snow) but last week we were treated to two glorious days in the 50's. The boys and I got out to the park (along with Molly) and Alex got to experience his first swing ride. Lots of fun! Here's to a spring and summer filled with lots trips to the park!

Charlie turned 3 on February 1st and we had a great party! Pizza, Thomas the Train cake and ice cream! Charlie had a great time and the party was well documented by my cousin Linsey. There are too many pics to post in a blog (119 in all) but if you want, you can check them out at:

Stars On Ice!

To kick off Charlie's b-day week-end, we took him ice skating at a rink downtown. We talked it up all week to prepare him and he was excited! Once we got there, I was a little nervous to find that they did not in fact rent double blade skates but only single blade. Oh well, too late to turn back now. In typical Charlie fashion, the determination came out and he was GREAT at it! Only fell a couple times and no crying the whole time. He actually didn't want to leave! A fun time was had by all!

Some updates

Let's see, what has been going on??? Alex started solids a few weeks ago. First Rice Cereal, then Oatmeal and we've moved on to some baby food. He's getting the hang of it and I just can't believe my "newborn" is already starting solids. Where does the time go? We've been managing this horrible winter weather as best we can. Charlie and I went shopping for a sled the other day. He and Brian took it for a spin on the front lawn. Charlie decided it was, "fun but scary." I guess that's pretty much right on, huh? Here are some pics from the past few weeks.
